Bristol Manor Farm finally recorded their first back to back league victories of the season with four top quality goals.
The Portwaymen got off to a flier when Jay Adams won a free-kick after two minutes. From 30 yards out Jordan Metters hit a beautifully weighted cross to the far post that centre-half Lloyd Mills headed bravely into the opposite corner of the net.
Barnstaple were unlucky not to draw level after 25 minutes when Jack Rice-Lethaby cut inside to hit a beautiful curling drive over Farm ‘keeper Ben John which crashed back off the top of the crossbar.
Manor Farm doubled their lead seven minutes into the second half when Troy Simpson bustled past a defender into the box before hitting a spectacular scissor-kick volley high past Steve Oliver in the Barnstaple goal.
Simpson then made it 3-0 in the 65th minute – latching onto a through ball before drawing the keeper and sliding a well-hit low shot past Oliver.
Barnstaple however got the goal their efforts deserved when substitute Saddam Bello scored with his first touch just seconds after his introduction from the visitors bench in the 74th minute – placing a well struck effort low past John into the corner.
Farm skipper Owen Howe sealed the win for the home side in the 77th minute when he created space for himself on the edge of the box before rifling a sweet finish into the bottom corner from 20 yards.
