Cirencester got their season off to a flyer with two goals in each half to consign Manor Farm to their first opening day defeat in seven years.
Tommy Anderson opened the scoring for the visitors in the 33rd minute – nodding in from close range after Farm had failed to clear. Ben Whitehead made it two-nil when he chipped into an empty net following a rearguard mix-up on the edge of the penalty area.
Farm’s new signing Owen Howe pulled a goal back on the stroke of half time, looping a shot high into the top corner.
The Centurions extended their lead just past the hour when Alan Griffin rifled a shot past debutant Farm keeper Ben John.
Farm pressed hard to get back in the game with Troy Simpson a lively presence as substitute but it was the Cirencester replacement Jordan Morris who clinched his teams fourth goal two minutes from time, drilling in a low shot from the right at the near post.
