Bristol Manor Farm missed out on a good opportunity to pick up points and improve on their league position when they handed the initiative back to Highworth Town after enjoying a dominant first half.
Lewis Bamford was tripped up in the visitors penalty area during the 24th minute and Ashley Kington rifled home the spot-kick straight down the middle of the goal.
Farm looked to be in complete control of the game – moving the ball nicely through the middle of the park but failing to take their chances when they came.
Highworth got an equaliser a minute before half-time with virtually their first shot of the game when Callum Ferguson’s volley into the ground beat a crowd of players and Ben Johns outstretched dive at the far post.
Eight minutes into the second half Highworth scored what proved to be the winner when an attack was allowed to develop into the box and a shot rebounded off of Johns and was turned in from close range by Darren Jeffries.
