Bristol Manor Farm twice took the lead in this must-win game at The Creek before being pegged back and finally overcome by a Salisbury side worthy of their ‘already promoted’ status.
The home side got off to a flyer after just six minutes when the dangerous Cory Simpson was brought down in the penalty area and Kye Holly duly drilled home from the spot.
Three minutes later the visitors levelled when Zack Kotwica cut inside centre-half Jamie Turner and slotted the ball past Ashley Clarke.
Manor Farm re-took the lead on 23 minutes when a long drop kick by Clarke took one bounce before Troy Simpson leapt between goalkeeper and defender to loop a brave header into an empty net.
Six minutes later Kotwica once again got in behind the home defence to level the score at 2-2.
The second half saw both sides go close on a number of occasions and only the woodwork stopped Salisbury substitute Lewis Benson from scoring on 64 minutes.
The winning goal came in the 73rd minute when Kotwica got behind the back four for the third time of the afternoon to complete a memorable hat-trick for his side.
Farm almost pulled level on 76 minutes when good work by Kye Holly and sub Rex Mannings in the box resulted in Cory Simpson hooking goalwards but keeper Charlie Searle got a decisive touch to steer the ball over.
At the final whistle the travelling Salisbury fans celebrated their teams promotion whilst Manor Farm were left to reflect on what-might-have-been despite a fantastic effort in their debut Southern League season.
