Bristol Manor Farm progressed to the semi-final of the Gloucestershire Senior Challenge Cup after a superb victory over Cheltenham Town.
The away side boasted a few senior heads in an otherwise relatively young team, while Farm also made some changes as Lee Lashenko sought to keep players fresh. The visitors had the game’s first chance when Tom King managed to evade deputy keeper Ben John, but he failed to find the target from a tight angle. Farm were the side who took the lead, and it came from an unlikely source. Only Sully scored his first goal for the club from an equally difficult angle after ten minutes.
King was involved again just a minute after the restart, finding the net this time, but his effort was ruled out by the linesman’s flag. Cheltenham levelled the match a few minutes later, as Harrison Sohna’s swinging free kick dipped all the way in at the back post.

The Farm regained the lead early in the second half, and in some style. Aron Robbins, who had already scored in an incredible eight different seasons for Manor Farm, made it nine with a brilliant strike. The defender pounced on the ball after some penalty-box pinball and rifled it into the far top corner.
King eventually got the goal his performance deserved, equalising once more after the hour mark. He skipped past John again and, this time, was able to roll the ball into the net.
Farm took the lead for the third and decisive time late on. Josh Bissett repeated his trick from Saturday, sending in a superb cross that was expertly finished by striker Louis Britton.
