MATCH REPORT: Bristol Manor Farm 4-0 Cribbs

Bristol Manor Farm ran out extremely comfortable winners as they hit local rivals Cribbs for four at the NL Services Stadium.

The early warning signs were there for the visitors in the opening moments, with The Farm creating a host of early chances. Just a few minutes in, Jamie Adams drove a low shot which Jack Witchard parried into the path of Louis Britton for a tap-in. Unfortunately for the hosts, the fourth official raised his flag to deny the forward yet another goal this season.

The early chances kept coming. George Dowling’s clever free kick found Evander Grubb, whose shot was saved, before Josh Bissett’s curling effort was cleared off the line. Everyone seemed to be having a go as the home side pressed harder still. Mason Winter struck a low shot which deflected towards the far corner, only for the ball to somehow spin narrowly wide at the last moment.

From the resulting corner, Jacob Spence forced another save from Witchard. Dowling saw yet another shot well saved before he finally broke the deadlock in sublime style. The midfielder collected a return ball from Grubb before curling an unstoppable finish into the far top corner.

Manor Farm took a two-goal lead into the break with another marvellous goal. Spence fed Grubb with a diagonal ball, and the youngster played a neat one-two with Dan Dodimead before finding Louis Britton, who tucked home with a close-range volley.

Having taken that goal, as well as so many of his others this season, so well, Britton might have been left wondering how he didn’t get his second just minutes after the restart. Bissett showed his defender a clean pair of heels before delivering a perfect cross to the number nine, who somehow headed wide from just a few yards out.

Bissett had an excellent first hour, and he got the goal his performance deserved shortly afterwards. A swift counter-attack saw Adams find the winger, whose delightful lofted finish made it three. The domination continued, and Farm added a fourth late on, with Bissett grabbing his second as his cross dipped onto the crossbar before spinning into the far corner.
