[vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]Bristol Manor Farm AFC is thrilled to announce that Evander Grubb has re-joined the club from Huddersfield Town on a work experience loan deal. The FA Cup history-maker will team up with Manager Lee Lashenko and the Portwaymen, going straight into the first-team ahead of Saturday’s fixture against Cinderford Town.
Grubb initially joined Bristol Manor Farm’s U18 squad in December 2019, but quickly advanced to the first team after impressing Lashenko in training after just two sessions.
In September last year, Grubb broke the record for being the youngest player to score in the FA Cup on September 12, 2020. Bristol Manor Farm defeated Cadbury Heath 5-1, with Grubb scoring twice.
From there, Grubb joined Huddersfield Town after a successful trial period from the Pro Chance Academy. The dynamic midfielder has since made a number of appearances for the Tigers’ academy, including featuring against Manchester City U19’s, and has now returned to The Creek on a work experience loan to continue his progression.
Speaking about the Farm’s latest addition, Manager Lashenko commented: “I’m absolutely delighted that we’ve acquired the services of Evander once again.
“It was Huddersfield who made the initial approach asking us if we’d be interested in bringing Evander back to The Creek for a one month work experience deal. Evander was offered the chance to play at a number of clubs higher in the pyramid, but chose Manor Farm as the club he’d like to play for. That to me show’s how much Evander cares about the club, and I’m so pleased he’s back playing for us.
“Now that Owen has left us, Evander will give us a different attacking edge for the time that he spends with us. The whole club bought into Evander, especially after his performances in the FA Cup,” Lashenko expressed.
Bristol Manor Farm would like to welcome Evander back to The Creek, and wish the young midfielder all the best during his loan spell with us.
