[vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]Bristol Manor Farm Football Club is thrilled to announce that attacking duo Lewis Leigh-Gilchrist and Kyle Tooze have agreed personal terms for the 2021/22 season. It’s been a whirlwind start to the week for the club, as Leigh-Gilchrist and Tooze will rejoin former teammates Stuart Tovey and Mason Winter next season after their new deals were announced yesterday.
Leigh-Gilchrist first joined the Portwaymen from Bristol Rovers following his release in 2019. However, it wasn’t the first time that the two had met. During a prolific spell at Yate Town in the 2018/19 season, Leigh-Gilchrist scored twice in a 4-1 victory over the Farm at Lodge Road. Leigh-Gilchrist has also featured for Hungerford Town, Truro City, and Dorchester Town.
Speaking to the club, Leigh-Gilchrist commented: “I am really pleased to continue my journey with Manor Farm FC.
“The past couple of seasons have been a bit up and down for me. I’m eager to continue improving my fitness levels, and showing what my true skill capabilities are, to help the team, Laz (Lee Lashenko) and all of the coaching staff to help get this club to where I believe it should be.
“We have a great bunch of lads and I’m sure if we can all do our bit then we can be successful,” Leigh-Gilchrist said.
Joining Leigh-Gilchrist and Owen Howe in attack next season is experienced forward Tooze. He joined the Farm after an impressive spell at fellow Southern League side Thatcham Town, when he ended the 2019/20 season as their player-of-the-season and top scorer with 15 goals respectively. It was clear to see that Tooze would continue his impressive performances in a Farm shirt, including a hat-trick over Welton Rovers in December.
Tooze boasts an impressive career at this level and above featuring for Mangotsfield United, Yate Town, Frome Town, Truro City, Swindon Supermarine, and Hungerford Town.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column width=”1/3″][/vc_column][vc_column width=”1/3″][vc_images_carousel images=”25041,25776″][/vc_column][vc_column width=”1/3″][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]Welcome back to the Farm lads! We can’t wait to see you back in Manor Farm red soon.
