Manager Lee Lashenko’s Preview

[vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]First-Team Manager Lee Lashenko caught up with the club’s media department ahead of the Farmers’ trip to Plymouth Parkway.

Bristol Manor Farm’s winning streak was extended to three games on Saturday afternoon, as the Portwaymen defeated Evesham United 2-1 at The Creek. Despite a consolation goal by the visitors late on, it was a near perfect afternoon despite one noticeable absentee on the sidelines. Manager Lee Lashenko started his eight match stadium ban at the weekend, having to watch his side’s performance from a live stream.

Speaking to the club, Lashenko commented: “Once again, I’m very pleased with my sides resilience against Evesham. I thought we gave a good account of ourselves for the most-part, and my only criticism was that we sat a bit deep too early on for my liking.

“Obviously it was disappointing to miss the match, but I’m very grateful for our media department who setup a live recording so that I could still watch the game from afar. Looking ahead to Saturday’s game, we had a good training session on Tuesday and we’ve got another before the players make the trip down.

“They (Plymouth Parkway) are the in-form team in the division, and produced another strong performance in midweek. We know it will be tough, but I’m going to sound like a broken record – these players are absolutely buzzing at the minute, and they will go to Plymouth full of confidence,” Lashenko expressed.

The Farmers were forced to make a late tactical change on Saturday, after striker Ben Bament dropped to the bench with a knee strain injury. Despite that, Lashenko was pleased with Shea Bennington-Manning’s first start and wouldn’t rule out making a new signing ahead of the weekend.

“Dicko (Grantley Dicks) and Carts (Stephen Carter) had to make the decision for Ben to sit out the match, and hopefully he won’t be out for very long. But I thought Shea stepped up to the plate, and he gave us a different dimension. He’s a player who likes to make runs in behind and take players on.

“Without Ben we are looking at different options and hopefully we will have someone in before Saturday’s game. [/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row]
