MATCH DAY GUIDE – THORNBURY (A)

Planning on travelling to tomorrow night’s friendly at Thornbury? Our matchday guide provides everything you need for the day, including previews, ticket information, hospitality details, and travel advice.

Preview:

Thornbury Town v Bristol Manor Farm, 7:30pm kick-off.

The games keep coming for The Farm as they travel to Thornbury for their penultimate friendly match in preparation for the 2024/25 season. After securing a third win in five days over the weekend, Farm added to their victories over Avonmouth and Taunton with a win away at Bishop Sutton. Dan Dodimead continues to shine, cementing his place as the team’s top pre-season goal scorer. Additionally, new recruit George King has been impressive, notching his third goal in just two games.

Our Hellenic League hosts, Thornbury, faced a challenging season last year but managed to ensure their survival. They will undoubtedly be keen to challenge at the other end of their league this time around, making for an exciting match-up.

Manager Lee Lashenko shared his thoughts ahead of the game:

“No doubt we will have another good following at Thornbury on Tuesday night. I know more than anyone what the supporters give to these players and the confidence it gives them. When we have that siege mentality, it seems to bode well for us.”

If you want to soak up the evening atmosphere, your best bet is to head to Thornbury’s high street and visit The Wheatsheaf. This large pub features a games room, garden, and parking, along with hearty lunch and dinner menus and real ales. The pub is also roughly a 15-20 minute walk to the ground, which should be manageable after a few pints.
