Manor Farm’s winning run comes to an end as a clinical Mousehole take all three points, writes Jack Davies.
The home side were very quick out of the traps and took the lead inside the opening five minutes. Tim Nixon capitalising on the space in the area as he finished from close range. Farm grew into the game and began to push for an equaliser. Dan Dodimead lashed over before the first shot on target for the visitors was brilliantly denied. Jayden Nielsen’s cross found Aron Robbins and his header was superbly saved by Seagulls keeper Ollie Chenoweth. Nielsen created the next chance too as his corner evaded everybody, including the sliding Harry Lucas, who was inches away from a decisive touch.
The result swung on a five-minute spell just after the hour. Ben Bament’s introduction of the bench looked a Farm masterstroke as he put the ball in the net, only to see an offside flag deny him the leveller. Instead, the home side took advantage just minutes later and doubled their lead. A neat move was given the cool finish it deserved as Hayden Turned swept the ball past Seth Locke. Farm did keep pushing but couldn’t quite find the decisive final pass. George Kellow had a late effort, but Chenoweth saved to preserve his clean sheet and his side’s three points.
