MATCH PREVIEW: Wimborne Town (H)

Jack Davies returns to preview this big fixture as Manor Farm host table-topping Wimborne looking to build on last week’s win at Paulton.

Farm made a slow start to the new year before a useful point against Bashley was followed up with that excellent away win last time out. Owen Brain grabbed a clinical brace and is always the man to watch but strike partner Ben Bament has two in two starts and looks sharper than ever. Goalkeeper Seth Locke has only conceded one goal in his last three games and will need to be at his best for this one.

Wimborne returned to the summit in midweek, following their own win away to Paulton. The Magpies have been pretty unstoppable of late, without a defeat since mid November. A wealth of attacking quality comes from all over the pitch. Forwards Lewis Beale and Sam Griffin lead the line and they also have flying full back Oakley Hanger, who is a constant threat down the right.

There is also another poignant fixture taking place at The NL Services Stadium this weekend. Bristol Manor Farm Football & Social Club will be hosting ‘Mason & Max’s Memorial Match’ on Sunday at 12pm to remember the lives of Mason Rist and Max Dixon who tragically lost their lives last weekend. Entry is by donation at the gate, with proceeds going towards supporting the families’ funeral costs.
