NIELSEN SIGNS ON

Bristol Manor Farm Football Club is thrilled to announce that star player Jayden Nielsen has agreed to extend his contract for the upcoming 2023/24 season. The news will surely be greatly welcomed by the Farmy Army, who have been eagerly awaiting confirmation of Nielsen’s future with the club.

Nielsen, who joined the club during the pandemic from Brislington AFC in December 2020, quickly endeared himself to both teammates and fans alike with his exceptional skills and dedication. His outstanding performances on the pitch have earned him widespread recognition, and he was recently honoured with both the Supporters’ Player of the Season and the coveted Player’s Player of the Season awards at the conclusion of the 2022/23 season.

The decision to extend Nielsen’s contract was met with overwhelming support from Manager Lee Lashenko, who has seen the youngster continually elevate his performances since arriving at The Creek.

“The re-signing of Jayden is a massive one for this football club. Next season we want to be more competitive and return to the levels that we have displayed across the past decade. Having Jayden on-board will only further strengthen our unit, and I’m sure the supporters will be thrilled to see him feature for us again.”

Remarkably, Jayden scored just the one goal last campaign – but contributed with a number of assists and drawn-fouls which earned Manor Farm key goals in their survival fight. That single goal, however, came on the biggest stage of the campaign at home to Saltash United in the Inter-Step Play-Off Final. With Aron Robbins’ wonder strike giving Farm a deserved lead, Nielsen emphatically smashed home Lashenko’s sides second to retain the club’s Step 4 status.

With Nielsen’s contract secured for the 2023/24 season, we would like you to join us in giving Jayden a warm welcome back to The Creek, and we look forward to witnessing more key performances from this fan-favorite player.
