UP NEXT: Slimbridge A.F.C. (H)

[vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]This Saturday, Bristol Manor Farm search for their third consecutive victory in the Southern League when Slimbridge AFC travel to The Creek for a 3pm kick-off. Ben Bament’s solitary goal against Cirencester came following the Farm’s excellent home atmosphere, and the club need your support once again as we look to continue our positive form heading into the Christmas period.

In recent news, forward Owen Howe departed The Creek to join Southern League Premier South side Tiverton Town. Despite losing the club’s top scorer, Lashenko said: “I have all the faith in my players, who showed excellent desire last weekend to win us all three points against Cirencester. I thought Ben Bament was excellent, and he’s shown exactly what he’s about in recent weeks with his goal contributions.

“The players trained on Saturday, and the atmosphere was absolutely buzzing. We’ve been working hard and we can’t wait to get back out there,” Lashenko said.

That aforementioned victory against the Centurions came following back-to-back home defeats at The Creek for the Farm, who now look to continue their revival in form.

The Opponents, Slimbridge overcame a difficult test against Sean Joyce’s Bideford last weekend when Myron Turner scored in the 92nd minute to claim all three points. The Swans currently sit in 14th position, with 16 points after 16 matches.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column][vc_single_image image=”26668”][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]

The Opponents

Slimbridge Association Football Club are an English football club representing the village of Slimbridge, near Dursley, Gloucestershire.

The first team currently play in the Southern League Division One South, the reserve team play in the Hellenic League Division Two West, and the Under 18 Youth team play in the Cheltenham Under18 Floodlit Youth League. The club is affiliated to the Gloucestershire County FA.

Slimbridge Football Club’s history can be traced back to the 1899–1900 season when they played local football at various venues in and around the village, but as they do not appear to have played matches every season initially, the club officially dates its foundation to 1902.

The club re-established itself in the Hellenic League Premier Division, and with Leon Sterling and assistant Fred Ward at the helm on the pitch, the club achieved sixth place (2010–11 season) and fifth place (2011–12 season) finishes upon their return to the top flight of the Hellenic League. In 2013 they transferred to the Western League Premier Division.

After securing a 3rd-place finish in the Western League Premier Division at the end of the 2014-15 season, it was confirmed that the club had earned promotion to the Southern League.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]You can also see our full list of festive fixtures below ⬇️[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column][vc_single_image image=”26690″][/vc_column][/vc_row]
