Bristol Manor Farm can confirm that Jayden Nielsen has departed for Frome Town this summer.
Nielsen, who had certainly etched his name as a real fan-favourite with the Farmy Army, played a key part in Manager Lee Lashenko’s sides these past three years. He scored a crucial goal in the Inter-Step play-off final two seasons ago which protected our Step 4 status, and carried that form emphatically into 2023/24. The exciting winger contributed to over 30 goals last season, finishing as the club’s second top goalscorer with 12 goals.
Speaking to the club, Manager Lee Lashenko had nothing but praise for the departing Nielsen and his family.
“As a manager, I’ve thoroughly enjoyed having Jayden as part of our club for the past three seasons. He has grown from one of our younger players into a key senior leader by the end. While the news of his departure isn’t entirely unexpected, especially considering our recent recruitment efforts, it’s time for Jayden to challenge himself at a higher level. I believe our paths will cross again in the future, and we wish him all the best at his new club, Frome Town.”
“Additionally, I want to extend a heartfelt thank you to Jayden’s family — especially Karon, Jamie, Chris, and Sandra. They’ve been a tremendous support and have shown great class throughout Jayden’s time with us. We’ve loved having them around the club and we wish them the best too.”
Please join us in wishing Jayden the very best at his new club, and we look forward to monitoring his progression.
