[vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]Bristol Manor Farm Football Club is pleased to share the news that Lloyd Mills, their longest-serving player, has reached an agreement to continue with the team for the upcoming 2023/24 season, marking his 11th season at The Creek.
Speaking to the club, Mills commented: “I can’t believe it’s been 11 years! It seems like a long time, but I feel that I can still offer something and contribute to the team.
“I’ve been very fortunate to have been surrounded by some great players and teams here at Bristol Manor Farm, and I can honestly say that last year was the only slightly ‘disappointing’ season since I joined the club,” admitted Mills.
“We didn’t start the season the way we wanted to, but I have to say, the positive end to the season can really be a spring board for us next year.”
Since joining the club in 2012, Mills has featured in countless memorable matches for the Portwaymen, from winning the league away to Hallen in 2016/17 to famous trips to Slough Town and Wealdstone. With the FA and Southern League confirming the participating teams for Division One South this week, Mills will be hoping that the club can make more memories next season.
“In the time I’ve been here we’ve had some brilliant matches to be involved in. The FA Cup runs have been great, and we know that next year we want to be challenging for success again,” Mills said.
“I think the two best teams (AFC Totton & Sholing) rightfully earned promotion, and that will only make next season even more interesting. I know that the type of players Lee is bringing to the club, we have every right to be fighting at the right end of the table come August.”
Please join us in giving Millsy a massive welcome back to the club for another season, and we look forward to seeing him back in action this pre-season.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row]
