This weekend, Bristol Manor Farm will be looking to return to winning ways against Highworth Town, and with first-team players returning to the squad, Manager Lee Lashenko is confident that his side can pick up a positive result. In our latest interview, we caught up with Lashenko ahead of Highworth.

Saturday’s defeat to Bideford AFC ended the Farm’s remarkable six match winning streak in the Southern League Division One South, but Lashenko has full belief of his Bristol Manor Farm side who’s impressive form started much earlier than December 27th.

“Of course we were dissatisfied with Saturday’s result, but we can be proud of the results we’ve collected over the past couple of months,” Lashenko began. “People will see that we went on a six match winning streak, but I think that our positive performances started much sooner than that.

“We beat Barnstaple away in testing conditions, and then followed up that result with a fantastic 1-0 home win against the league leaders Cirencester Town. We had a minor setback away to Sholing, and then went on this great run. Similarly to the Sholing match, I believe Saturday’s loss to Bideford will also be a minor setback, and we can produce a positive result against a good side in Highworth,” Lashenko said.

During Saturday’s match at Bideford, the Farm were without forwards Ben Bament, Jake Gosling, and Dean Stamp – forcing Lashenko to push defender Mason Winter into a more attacking role and restoring Sam Boulton to the starting line-up. Lashenko believes that with a full arsenal at his disposal, his Farm side can build momentum heading into the final nine matches of the season.

“Given the circumstances, we were very much in the game on Saturday and had chances ourselves to score once or twice. Full credit must be given to Bideford who dug deep at the end and rewarded their performance with the goal at the death,” said Lashenko.

“Ben Bament’s suspension is now over, and we’re delighted to welcome Ben back to first-team action. Hopefully we will also have a couple of others back for the match leaving us in good contention for Saturday,” Lashenko expressed.

Kick-off for Saturday’s match against Highworth Town begins at 3pm, and we look forward to seeing as many of you at The Creek. Ticket information can be found HERE.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row]
