Preview:

Bristol Manor Farm v Melksham Town – Saturday 10 August, 3pm.

The Southern League Division One South returns for another season, with Farm hosting Melksham on the opening day. Farm enters the campaign brimming with optimism after last year’s thrilling late-season surge saw them narrowly miss promotion in the Play-Off final. Despite the departures of Ollie Woodhouse and Ben Bament, Farm has enjoyed a fruitful summer. New arrivals, including former Championship players George Dowling and Louis Britton, stand out among a host of signings as Farm aims to contend once again this season.

Melksham, who have been on an upward trajectory since their promotion in 2018, narrowly avoided relegation last season. Nevertheless, they remain formidable opponents and have also bolstered their squad with key signings, including talented midfielder Nathan Davis and defender Mark Cooper.

Manager Lee Lashenko shared his thoughts ahead of the season opener:

“Melksham are a big club at this level and have recruited very well. We know we need to give it our all, and we will. The players will give it their all, myself and my staff will give it our all, and the supporters will give it their all. We are ready for the start of the season and I can’t wait.”

Travel:

Supporters on planning to use public transport have two main options. There are Trains that run to Avonmouth and Severn Beach every 20 minutes from Bristol Temple Meads and you will need to get off at Sea Mills station, followed by a short 5 minute walk to the ground. Supporters travelling by Bus can catch the Portway Park & Ride from the city centre every 10 minutes, and will need to get off outside the ground at the Riverleaze stop.

We offer a FREE Car Park for our supporters. However, we encourage everyone to arrive at the ground well in advance of the match start time, as the parking spaces tend to fill up quickly once players and staff begin arriving for the evening.
