Bristol Manor Farm travel to Didcot Town on Saturday afternoon in search of a fourth consecutive FA Cup win, writes Jack Davies.
Farm have been excellent in the competition so far, having beaten three teams whilst scoring ten times. Striker Owen Brain has scored half of those ten and will be looking for more, as his fine start to the season continues. Full-back Mason Winter and winger Bevan Cross have been extremely effective off the bench in Farm’s last two games, with Cross netting his first goal in the last league game and Winter scoring to start the comeback for Farm last weekend, in the nation’s top Non-League competition, The FA Trophy.
Didcot, after patiently awaiting appeal results and information about their opponents, ultimately earned their spot in this round. They were finally granted the opportunity to compete in the First Round Qualifying against Tadley on Wednesday night, winning 5-1 at Loop Meadow. The Oxfordshire club had only managed one point from their first six games in the Southern League Premier Division, but have shown signs of improvement this week. They secured their first win over Winchester in their last league game before that aforementioned demolition over Tadley. Forward Connor Barrett got a hat-trick in that cup fixture, scoring from open play, a direct free-kick, and the penalty spot.
