[vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]Plymouth Parkway vs Bristol Manor Farm – 29/10/22, 3pm KO (FA Trophy)
Manor Farm return to last season’s league champions, Plymouth Parkway, for the First Round Proper of the Isuzu FA Trophy at Bolitho Park. Jack Davies is on-hand to preview all the action between the two sides below.
Factfile:
Nickname – The Parkway
Stadium – Bolitho Park (120 miles)
Founded – 1988
Manager – Lee Hobbs
Star man – Callum Hall
Last season – 1st and champions
Last round – 2-0 win over Dorchester
Fun fact – They were unbeaten in over 3 years at home before Farm’s win there last season.
The Parkway:
Parkway lost a few of their much-celebrated champions squad last year but have retained a good core. Midfield pair Billy Palfrey and Toby Stephens continue to dictate the tempo whilst forwards Callum Hall and Ben Seymour have been well amongst the goals recently, the latter notching four in their recent win over Hendon at Bolitho Park.
The Farm:
Lee Lashenko’s Manor Farm are starting to charge up – and goals are certainly coming from all over the park. Defender Josh Ford has two goals in two games whilst Jake Gosling has three assists and a goal in those same two games. 16-year-old William Gallagher became one of Farm’s youngest-ever scorers last week and he will be full of confidence should he be required for another cameo in a Bristol Manor Farm shirt.
The Form:
Both sides found the start of their respective seasons difficult, but the results are starting to turn in their favour. Parkway have won three matches in a row, including that 6-0 drubbing of Hendon and the 4-2 Devon derby win against Tiverton Town on Wednesday evening.
Farm’s form is finally starting to reflect their excellent performances as of late, and have won three of their last four matches including last round’s upset win against Gosport. In addition, their last two league victories have both come on the road – giving Lashenko hope that his side can perform at the high level required at Bolitho Park on Saturday.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row]
