MATCH PREVIEW: Yate Town (A)

Bristol Manor Farm kickstart 2024 with a trip to local rivals Yate Town on New Years Day, and Jack Davies has provided the lowdown on the action.

Manor Farm have had a near perfect December, ending with a hugely successful Christmas week. Lee Lashenko’s men have nine points from 12, including back-to-back wins over Larkhall and Willand. Daniel Dodimead was the jewel of the Christmas crown as he notched three goals in two games last week and returning strike partner Owen Brain has a goal in each of his last two.

Yate have not had the season they would envisioned following last season’s disappointments but have had more of a go under new manager Darren Mullings. They are without a win since late October, but recent performances have encouraged the fans, and it could only take one result to kick-start an upturn in form. Players have come and gone but one who remains is keeper Aaron Sainsbury, who rarely has a bad game and was superb in Yate’s visit to Farm in the reverse fixture.

We would like to wish everyone associated with Manor Farm a very happy and prosperous new year!
