Bristol Manor Farm secured their first league victory since their away win at Tavistock on Saturday, as the Portwaymen defeated local opposition Larkhall Athletic 3-2 in an entertaining clash at The NL Services Stadium.
The first half saw a fairly dominant display from Manor Farm, and within minutes the Portwaymen nearly took the lead through a long range strike from George Dowling, however it was pushed away for a corner by the goalkeeper. Moments after his initial strike, Dowling tried his luck again and this time found the back of the net, beating Larkhall goalkeeper Sam Jepson. Soon after, Farm doubled their advantage through Harry Lucas, whose back post header found the back of the net, securing Farms’ well deserved lead at the interval.

At the start of the second half, Larkhall nearly got one goal back, as a fantastic finger tip save by Farm goalkeeper Seth Locke denied the Larks a certain goal. Eventually, the Larks managed to get one back, as a deflection from a Larkhall free kick from the edge of the box trickled its way into the Farm net.
Minutes after, the Larks had equalised thanks to a wonder strike from outside of the box from Jake Hicks. However, just after the Larks had got back on level terms Larkhalls’ Jack Camm received a red card after a last man foul and gave the Portwaymen a free kick in a dangerous area, which George Dowling managed to convert brilliantly, scoring his second goal of the game in the dying moments. Manor Farm managed to see out the remainder of the match and secured three points.
Next up for Bristol Manor Farm, it is another home game at The NL Services stadium, as they welcome playoff chasing opposition Malvern Town. Malvern currently sit in 5th position following their 3-0 home victory against Thatcham Town.
