The Farm’s FA Trophy journey continues on Saturday, and if you’re planning on joining us at Evesham, this guide is for you!
Preview:
Evesham United v Bristol Manor Farm, Saturday 21 September, 3pm.
Manor Farm return to Evesham in the FA Trophy as they look to avenge their league defeat on this ground last month. Farm haven’t looked back since that previously mentioned defeat, with four straight wins in all competitions. Louis Britton continues his fine early-season form, with his sixth goal in five games coming in Farm’s thumping victory last weekend. Also on the scoresheet was Dan Dodimead, whose return ensures Farm’s attack is at its full complement for the first time this season. Evesham are in similar form, unbeaten since the opening day. A draw against Bemerton is the only blemish in their previous six games, with them needing two attempts to reach this stage after an initial win was forced to be replayed.
One player who more than contributed in last Saturday’s win was summer signing George Dowling, who looks ahead to the second trip to Evesham already this season.
“I’m looking forward to this weekend’s game; we owe them one, and coming back to Evesham so quickly is something myself and the team are looking forward to. The boys are really happy with how we’re doing. Recent form shows how good we’ve been, but we have to take it game by game and stay grounded. We all want to achieve the same things, so I’m sure we’ll keep on doing really well.
“Last weekend’s result is a telling sign of how ruthless we can be when on top form, and I was happy to get off the mark for the Farmy Army.”
