Bristol Manor Farm Football Club is excited to announce that Frankie Phillips has become the newest addition to the team for the upcoming 2023/24 Southern League season, having agreed to the terms.
Phillips, son of former Bristol City & Bristol Rovers keeper Steve, is the next player to join the Portwaymen ahead of what’s set to be an exciting 2023/24 season at the club. Manager Lee Lashenko acted quickly to bring in another goalkeeper to work and learn alongside Seth Locke who was the second player to agree terms this summer.
Speaking to the club on Thursday evening, Lashenko said: “Frankie is another young player that we have high hopes for. We have brought him in to work and learn from Seth to continue his progression. We know the pedigree that his father has here in the city, and we want to help Frankie develop into senior football.”
Phillips’ career started with an exciting move to Liverpool Football Club just aged eight, and had since moved onto the Southampton Football Academy until he was 16-years-old. For the past year and a half, the young keeper has featured for Welton Rovers U18 as well as Chilcompton Sports.
Making his introduction to the Farm, Phillips commented: “I’m very delighted to be joining Bristol Manor Farm Football Club. Lee has been very down to earth with me, and I know it’s all about performances here at The Creek. Last season I was able to get some good experience, but I want to play as high as I can, and I’m looking forward to the challenge ahead.”
Please join us in giving Frankie a very warm welcome to The Creek for 23/24!
