[vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]Bristol Manor Farm Football is delighted to announce that its defensive options continue to be boosted with Josh Ford agreeing terms ahead of the 2023/24 season.
With defensive partners Steve Kingdon and Mason Winter committing their futures to Manor Farm next year, the returning Ford believes that the ‘togetherness’ shown from the past couple of seasons can really help towards hitting the ground running when pre-season rolls around.
Ford originally joined the club from Melksham Town in the summer of 2021 and has been an instrumental figure at The Creek, demonstrating his qualities in both boxes.
“I’d like to echo what the other players have said,” Ford began.
“I’ve built some strong partnerships with the players these past couple of seasons, and it’s great that we have been able to retain the core of last year’s squad, plus the additions of a few new faces.
“We’re getting our business done early, and we know that if we have a good pre-season campaign, then it will put us in good stead for 2023/24 in the Southern League.”
The imposing central defender scored six goals in the Southern League in 2012/22, and added a further five last campaign, including a thumping half volley away to Westbury during our final league match. For him personally, Ford wants to build on his performances and ‘return to his best’ when the new season starts in August.
“Last year we know that collectively we conceded far too many goals, but this season I want to show the supporters that we can be a tighter unit at the back as we look to finish as high as we can,” Ford expressed.
We would like you all to join us in giving Josh Ford a warm welcome back to The Creek for another season.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row]
