Bristol Manor Farm have welcomed another fan favourite back into the fold, as manager Lee Lashenko secures the services of Ben Bament ahead of Saturday’s crucial fixture away to Shaftesbury.
Bament, most commonly referred to as “Benny B”, left The Farm in the summer to join Portishead following their promotion to the Western League. Before that move, Benny’s last goal for the club came in the Division One South play-off final away at Frome. The industrious forward also celebrated scoring his 50th goal for The Farm shortly before his departure.
Speaking to the club, manager Lee Lashenko said: “I’m pleased to welcome Ben back. We know he’s a fan favourite, and I’m confident his return will enhance the feel-good factor around the place. When things aren’t going your way, you look to those characters who understand exactly what this club is all about. There are a few people in the dressing room still learning, and players like Ben will keep them on their toes and help them improve.”
Bament is the second former player to rejoin the club this week, following the announcement of Owen Howe’s return. Please join us in welcoming Ben back to The Farm — we look forward to seeing him in action soon.
