MATCH DAY GUIDES – BANK HOLIDAY WEEKEND

The late-August bank holiday is here, and we’ve got two mouth-watering matches to look forward to. If you’re planning on joining us at our home match against Bideford on Saturday 24th and/or the local Bristol derby at Cribbs on Monday 26th then this guide is just for you!

Preview:

Bristol Manor Farm v Melksham Town – Saturday 24th August, 3pm.
Cribbs v Bristol Manor Farm – Monday 26th August, 3pm.

Bristol Manor Farm kicks off a busy weekend with a home game against long-time rivals Bideford. The Devon club has had a mixed start to the season, including a dramatic late winner on opening day. Those last-minute heroics continued in the FA Cup, where Bideford secured a replay against Wellington with a 97th-minute equaliser. Under Shaun Joyce, Bideford has flirted with relegation in recent years, but a strong start last season saw them finish 12th, and they’ll be eager to build on that progress.

Local rivals Cribbs had a highly successful debut season at this level, finishing third before being defeated by Manor Farm in a memorable Play-Off Semi-Final. This season, however, has seen significant changes at The Lawns, with former manager Richard Luffman taking several players to Taunton. His replacement, Ashley Bennett, has had to quickly rebuild the squad during the short summer break. Like Bideford, Cribbs won their opening match but suffered defeat in their second game.

Travel to Bristol Manor Farm

Supporters on planning to use public transport have two main options. There are Trains that run to Avonmouth and Severn Beach every 20 minutes from Bristol Temple Meads and you will need to get off at Sea Mills station, followed by a short 5 minute walk to the ground. Supporters travelling by Bus can catch the Portway Park & Ride from the city centre every 10 minutes, and will need to get off outside the ground at the Riverleaze stop.

We offer a FREE Car Park for our supporters. However, we encourage everyone to arrive at the ground well in advance of the match start time, as the parking spaces tend to fill up quickly once players and staff begin arriving for the evening.
