Manor Farm bow out of the FA Cup in replay at home to Mangos – writes Jack Davies
Bristol Manor Farm bowed out of the FA Cup following a narrow home defeat to Mangotsfield United in Tuesday night’s replay.
After an impressive away performance on Saturday was undone by a late Mangoes equaliser, the Farm were looking to finish the job back on home turf. However, a cagey opening saw few chances for either side. Captain Elliot Nicholson had the best opportunity of the first half hour, linking up well with Djalo before forcing a near-post save. Just before the break, Tom Blake had a double effort denied by the ever-reliable Ellis Parker.

The second half followed a similar pattern until a moment of misfortune changed the game on the hour mark. A bobbling back pass caught out keeper James Walker, whose clearance ricocheted off Harrison Kyte and rolled agonisingly into the net.
Despite pressing hard for an equaliser, Farm couldn’t break through a resolute Mangotsfield defence. The final whistle confirmed a frustrating FA Cup exit in our first outing back at the NL Services Stadium.
