Late heartbreak for The Farm as Exmouth completed the almighty comeback with the final kick of the game.
Farm started brightly despite being plagued by absentees and took an early lead. Louis Britton broke free on the right side of the penalty area and, from an extremely tight angle, rifled a low shot off the far post and into the net. Farm also posed a real threat from set pieces, nearly doubling their lead when Exmouth struggled to clear a corner, but goalkeeper Frankie Phillips just managed to cover his angles and deny Britton a second. However, Farm did extend their advantage just before the break. Phillips spilled a deep corner, leaving Jacob Spence with the simplest of tasks — nodding the ball into an empty net.

It was a proverbial game of two halves, as Exmouth emerged a completely different side after the interval. Tom Bath forced two fine saves from Seth Locke before the hosts pulled one back just before the hour mark. A chaotic goalmouth scramble eventually saw Griffiths stab the ball home. The pressure continued to build, and with ten minutes remaining, Exmouth found an equaliser. Thorne and Swann combined well out wide before setting up Callum Shipton, who slotted a smart finish into the far corner.
As the game entered stoppage time, both teams pushed for a winner. Despite the clock running into the eighth minute of the five initially added, Exmouth found a dramatic late goal. A headed clearance fell kindly to Shipton, who volleyed home to complete his brace and snatch all three points for the hosts.
