Preview:

Bristol Manor Farm v Helston Athletic, Saturday 12 October, 3pm kick-off.

The Farm are flying right now, having put a nervy first week firmly behind them. Along with their four consecutive league wins, Manor Farm have also secured another four victories in the cup competition, including last week’s triumph in Mousehole, to reach the First Round Proper of the FA Trophy. At the heart of these recent successes has been the goal-scoring prowess of Louis Britton. The towering number nine has netted an incredible thirteen goals in his last nine games and will be eager to make an impact in this early-season six-pointer.

Helston have adapted superbly to life at this level, following their promotion last year. Like their hosts, Helston have bounced back from an early FA Cup exit with a stellar run of form. Seven matches unbeaten, with five of those being victories, Helston sit third in the early standings, having played a game fewer than leaders Yate. Jack Crago is the standout of a formidable front line, which put four past a very strong Tavistock side in midweek.

Speaking to the club, Manager Lee Lashenko had this to say:

“It goes without saying this is a club full of confidence at present and long may this continue. I have also gone on record to say when the bump in the road comes along, hopefully not that often, we can all work together to get back on track.

“I believe this afternoon’s student day will again enhance the day and the atmosphere inside our ground. This place totally comes alive on match days, the players love this and totally thrive on it.”

Travel:

Supporters on planning to use public transport have two main options. There are Trains that run to Avonmouth and Severn Beach every 20 minutes from Bristol Temple Meads and you will need to get off at Sea Mills station, followed by a short 5 minute walk to the ground. Supporters travelling by Bus can catch the Portway Park & Ride from the city centre every 10 minutes, and will need to get off outside the ground at the Riverleaze stop.

We offer a FREE Car Park for our supporters. However, we encourage everyone to arrive at the ground well in advance of the match start time, as the parking spaces tend to fill up quickly once players and staff begin arriving for the evening.
