Jack Davies’ Preview:

Mangotsfield United v Bristol Manor Farm – Saturday 2nd August, 3pm.

Club Reporter Jack Davies looks ahead to Saturday’s trip to Mangotsfield:

The 2025/26 season begins in earnest this weekend as Bristol Manor Farm head to Cossham Street to face Mangotsfield United in the FA Cup Extra Preliminary Round.

It’s been a whirlwind week for the club — from the devastating damage to The Creek last weekend, to the incredible wave of support that’s followed. The response has been overwhelming, and we can’t thank everyone enough for rallying around the Farm.

On the pitch, manager Will Justin and his staff have been hard at work finalising the squad, with new-look Farm set to be led out by captain Elliott Nicholson for the very first time in competitive action.

Saturday’s hosts have already started their season with a gritty 1–0 win over Hallen on Tuesday. After a difficult end to the campaign last year, the Mangos look revitalised and ready to push on in the Hellenic League. Among their new arrivals is a familiar face — former Farmer Jacob Spence, who skippered Mangotsfield to that midweek victory. Long-time defender Stuart Tovey is another who’s sure to get a warm welcome from the Farmy Army, while forward George Neill will be one to watch after opening his account from the spot.

Everyone at the club is buzzing to get the new era properly underway — and there’s no stage more fitting than the magic of the FA Cup. We’re proud to be part of this competition once again and will be giving everything to make a run.

We hope to see a big travelling turnout as the journey begins
