A Christmas message to the amazing Farmy Army from the club’s committee and management team.
This year has undeniably been a journey, serving as a genuine testament to the resilience and optimistic spirit shown by all individuals connected to our proud football club, spanning from the playing squad through to the magnificent Farmy Army.
We’ve certainly faced significant challenges where we had to navigate our way through a turbulent period. However, thanks to the combined dedication of the club’s personnel and YOUR unwavering support, we not only weathered the storm but emerged on the other side with renewed enthusiasm. Last year the club retained its Southern League status, providing a sturdy platform for progress. This year, we’ve advanced to the Third Round Qualifying of the Emirates FA Cup and currently hold a commendable 8th position in the division – just four points off the play-off spaces. What a turnaround from last year!
Behind the scenes, our club experienced a significant boost with the appointment of Troy Harrington as Chair in September. Certainly, the Harrington Family has been a tremendous support to Lee and the club throughout the years, with Troy playing a vital role in helping us on our journey for success in 2024.
Comparing the 2022/23 season and the 2023/24 season, there has been a significant 42% rise in the average attendances at The NL Services Stadium. This has been immensely vital in generating the necessary funds to sustain the club’s travel, matchday, and playing budget throughout the season. We extend our heartfelt appreciation to every member of the Farmy Army, which includes the Official Bristol Manor Farm Supporters Society of the University of Bristol and The Farmily. We are also grateful to the Farmy Army supporters who congregate around The Creek, particularly in stands such as the Craig Franklin and Geoff Sellek stands. We’d also like to thank those who can only follow us on the road and online – we see and read all the kind words you share and it really does make a big difference. Saturday’s win at Larkhall certainly proved that.
In addition, we would like to thank all of our club sponsors, who have invested in commercial packages such as the Stadium Name Raffle, Match and Player Sponsorship, and Advertisement & Programme displays. Without the vocal and financial support from you all, there certainly wouldn’t be a Bristol Manor Farm Football Club.
In January 2024 we will be announcing the key details for our 2x Guest Speaker events that we will be hosting at our Social Club as well as the Geoff Sellek 11 vs Lee Lashenko 11 memorial match on Sunday 7 April at 12:00. Please keep an eye out across the club’s social media channels for the latest, breaking news.
We hope everyone has had a wonderful Christmas with their loved ones, and we look forward to hosting you all tomorrow for our big home encounter against Willand Rovers at 1pm.
Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!
