In a historic move for Bristol Manor Farm AFC, the football club’s committee has announced the successful renewal of the lease for our iconic Sea Mills home ground, The Creek. This significant development ensures the continuation of football on the Farm for another 25 years, extending the lease until 2048.
Based on the A4 Portway, a major route in and out of Bristol, The Creek holds a special place in the hearts of the Farmy Army. The club’s management has been working diligently to secure the future of this historic venue, and the 25-year lease renewal is a testament to their commitment to the local community and the sport.
Manager Lee Lashenko shared his enthusiasm for the news, stating, “The Creek has always provided a foundation for our success over the years, thanks to so many hardworking volunteers who help maintain it, including our beloved former Chairman Geoff Sellek, who will surely be looking down with delight that this new lease has been secured with Bristol City Council.
“Knowing that we have a secure home for the next 25 years is a huge boost for the players, staff, and supporters of the football club, as well as those who will one day be at the helm. There’s no better way to celebrate this news than another big home match, as we welcome Westbury United on Saturday and we hope to see as many of the Farmy Army in attendance.”
The extended lease provides Bristol Manor Farm with the stability needed to invest in the development of the facility, making it more modern and accommodating for both players and supporters. Plans are underway to secure both council and Football Foundation funding to facilitate the much-needed upgrades to the ground’s infrastructure and supporter facilities.
The Creek is currently named The NL Services Stadium for the 2023/24 season, after Jay Lucas and NL Services SW Ltd won our yearly Stadium Name raffle.
