Five-Star Farm Run Riot to Spoil Westbury’s Badgers Hill Welcome in Style
Bristol Manor Farm may have suffered play-off heartbreak at Badgers Hill on their last visit, but they have had plenty of fond memories at the ground — and this trip would certainly be added to that list. Barely a minute had passed before Westbury, playing their first game since announcing the Frome ground share, were picking the ball out of their own net. Dan Dodimead was the quickest to react to his initial effort, lashing home the rebound to give Farm an early lead.
The Farm kept up the pressure as their positive start continued. Louis Britton was denied by a superb last-ditch tackle before Evander Grubb sent the loose ball over the bar. Westbury gradually settled into their new surroundings and carved out big chances to equalise — Mitchell and Bole both struck the woodwork, while Seth Locke had to tip a Bevan Cross effort around the post.
Spurred on by these warnings, The Farm secured a crucial second goal late in the half. Dodimead’s cross took a deflection and fell to Britton, who produced an outrageous dinked finish that clipped the bar before bouncing just over the line. From that moment on, Farm never really looked back. Their dominance continued, and it wasn’t long before Britton and his teammates were celebrating again. The striker was hauled down as he attempted to tap in a cross, and once the penalty was awarded, he confidently stepped up to send Farm into the break with a commanding three-goal lead.

Farm started the second half just as strongly and added a fourth within minutes. Grubb floated in a ball that fell perfectly for Britton, who emphatically volleyed home to complete his hat trick. He came close to a fourth moments later, his effort spinning just wide. However, Farm didn’t have to wait long for their fifth—Dodimead broke the offside trap, raced through on goal, and coolly slotted the ball under home keeper Redman Evans.
Westbury managed a late consolation goal, denying Farm a fifth clean sheet in six games, but the damage had long been done. With back-to-back wins and an unbeaten start to 2025 intact, Farm’s fine form shows no signs of slowing.
