[vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]Lee Lashenko’s Bristol Manor Farm will look to make it five wins in a row when they travel to second-placed Frome Town this weekend. The win against Sholing last Saturday shows the Farm’s superb form since the turn of the year, with only two losses since November. Here is all the match preview, travel and ticket information ahead of the fixture.

A slight slip up against Bideford didn’t deter the Farmers from reminding the division why they’re in serious contention for promotion – collecting 16 points (W5, D1) from their previous six matches; and last Saturday’s victory added gloss in front of the jubilant Farmy Army.

Speaking to Official BMF TV after the match, Lashenko praised his sides ‘spirit and desire’ as Kye Simpson’s strike helped them on their way to what was a landmark victory.

“I don’t usually like to single players out, but I thought Ben Bament was excellent once again. He was playing like an advanced midfielder who worked, worked, and worked,” Lashenko said.

“We’re ready to go to another side who are desperate to get out of this division, and we know we need to be at the top of our game.

“When we brought Kye to the club, we knew what we were bringing to the table. Kye likes to score goals, and he’s proven that at a number of clubs. When we brought him in, we need that little bit extra – and he’s certainly given us that,” Lashenko expressed.

As for Saturday’s hosts, Frome will be hoping they can secure a positive result and move back to the top of the division – having just been knocked off by the in-form Plymouth Parkway. The Robins’ recent form has slightly dipped from their electric start to the new year, having won just twice in their last six matches in all competitions (W2,D3,L1).
The Opposition

The club was founded in 1904, and started playing in the Wiltshire Premier League at their home ground of Badgers Hill. A few seasons later the club experienced success when they won the Somerset Senior League Championship in the 1906–07 season, followed by two more in 1908–09 and 1910–11 as well as winning the Wiltshire League Championship in the 1909–10 season. After the league successes the club made its debut in the FA cup in the 1911–12 season reaching the fifth qualifying round before losing 4–1 to Southport Central.

At the end of the 1999–00 season the club finished bottom of Division one but were spared relegation as the league was restructured that season. Two seasons later at the end of the 2001–02 campaign the club were Division One champions, and promoted back to the Premier Division. In the 2003–04 campaign the club gained media attention when they asked local white witch Titania Hardie, to help improve their home form as they struggled at Badgers Hill. The witch blamed the Decor of the changing rooms, and once the club changed them the team won eight of their nine remaining home games.

At the end of the 2008–09 season the club finished as runners-up in the Premier Division and this was enough to secure promotion to the Southern Football League in Division One South & West, as champions Bitton did not apply for promotion as their ground would not have passed the Southern League ground grading committee’s standards. The club also achieved cup success that season when they beat Paulton Rovers 3–1 to win the Somerset Premier Cup. In their second season in Division One South and West the club gained promotion to the Premier Division when they beat Sholing 1–0 in the play-off final, under the management of Darren Perrin. The club has since remained in the Premier Division of the Southern Football League.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row]

This Saturday, Bristol Manor Farm head to The Snows Stadium to face 3rd placed AFC Totton in the Southern League Division One South. Here is all the match preview, travel and ticket information ahead of the fixture.

Off the back of Saturday’s 2-0 home win against Willand Rovers, attention turns to a ‘play-off six-pointer’ against high-flying AFC Totton on England’s South Coast.

The Stags currently have the same points tally as Manor Farm (55) but have played two matches left and have a far superior goal difference. However, based off the last six matches - the Farmers sit second in the division’s form table, only to be knocked off top spot following Plymouth Parkway’s midweek victory.

Dan Sackman’s side were off the pace against Larkhall at the beginning of the month, but quickly reminded the division why they’re still in with a chance of becoming champions after they defeat Cirencester 1-0 last time out.

For the Farm, it’s been a near perfect month for the club who have picked up seven points from their past three matches. A thumping 4-0 home win against Highworth was followed by a score draw at Slimbridge, and then a 2-0 home victory against the Devon All-Whites, Willand.

Saturday’s debutant Kye Simpson capped his excellent performance with a sumptuous goal, gracefully volleying into the net to make it 2-0 to the Farm. Match highlights to follow on Official BMF TV.

The Farm head south to Bideford AFC on Saturday afternoon looking to continue their fantastic form in the Southern League Division One South. In our latest preview, find out all the information ahead of week 27.

Two first-half goals from Farm condemned Paulton Rovers to a 2-0 defeat at The Creek last Saturday. Jayden Nielsen swept the ball across to Mike Bryant who gave the Portwaymen the dream start. Then Jake Gosling stepped up to drill the ball past Aaron Sainsbury from the spot.

That result meant that the Farm maintain the final play-off position, but set their sights higher with only seven points separating them from the top of the table.

Speaking to the club ahead of the match, Manager Lee Lashenko commented: “As everyone connected to the club will know, spirits are very high at the minute. We’re all enjoying each other’s company, and most importantly my players are enjoying their football,” Lashenko said.

“We’re looking to involve some of our U18 players to the matchday squad on Saturday. Luco Ponsillo has been playing for Hengrove in the Western League on a dual registration, and Charlie Tiley has been involved at the ProChance Academy. Both players who I think will go on to have a good chance of playing in the professional game, and will aid us for Saturday’s match,” Lashenko said.

As for our opponents, Bideford will be looking put their results back on track following their 2-1 defeat against Lymington last time out. Despite the aforementioned result, Bideford have won three of their last five matches as they look to secure their place amongst the 19 teams in the Southern League Division One South next season.

Amongst their squad, the Robins bolstered their defensive ranks with the signing of former Farm player Kai Fisher – who will be doing a sponsored skydive to raise money for an alcohol and drug addiction rehabilitation charity.
THE OPPONENTS

Bideford Town was established in the late 1890s and spent most of their history playing in the North Devon League. In 1947 the club was reformed as Bideford A.F.C., and joined Section A of the North Devon League. Although they finished bottom of the division, they remained in Section A for the 1948–49 season, which saw them finish sixth. At the end of the season they joined Division Three of the Western League, which they won at the first attempt, winning 19 of their 20 matches and drawing the other to earn promotion to Division Two. In 1951–52 they won Division Two, and were promoted to Division One.

Bideford dominated the Western League in the 2000s, winning the Premier Division in 2001–02, 2003–04, 2004–05, 2005–06 and 2009–10, as well as the League Cup in 2001–02 and 2003–04. After continuously opting not to take promotion due to the increased travelling costs, in 2010 they were promoted to Division One South & West of the Southern League, which they went on to win in 2011–12.
