MATCH PREVIEW: Bashley (H)

Bristol Manor Farm return to The NL Services Stadium on Saturday afternoon as they look to shake their January Blues with a win against Bashley, and Jack Davies has provided the lowdown on this important fixture for both clubs.

Farm had an excellent Christmas, unbeaten in four and firing on all cylinders, before three straight defeats to Bideford, Frome and Malvern, despite being arguably the better side in each game. Coinciding with those narrow defeats was the loss of striker Dan Dodimead, who has now returned to first-team training and will be back in contention for this weekend’s game – much to the delight of the Farm. There will also be a change at the back as young goalkeeper Seth Locke takes his place between the sticks in Ben John’s absence, and he will be hoping for a much-needed clean sheet.

Bashley have had a largely forgettable season, with just four wins. Those wins however, have mainly come against some of the better sides in the division and they will no doubt provide stern opposition. Goalkeeper Ross Casey is one of the best in the league and a wealth of attacking quality includes Brett Williams, Conor Whiteley and Jamie Johnstone.

Bristol City and Bristol Rovers season pass holders can gain entry to The NL Services Stadium for just £7 at concession price.
