Bristol Manor Farm received an additional boost for the upcoming 2023/24 season as Emily Rose, the club’s new Sports Therapist, became the latest to join Manager Lee Lashenko’s backroom team.
With pre-season just around the corner, we caught up with Emily on Friday afternoon, and here’s what she had to say ahead of the new campaign!
Welcome to Bristol Manor Farm, Emily! What influenced your decision to come and work for us our new Sports Therapist?
“Thank you, I’m excited to be here! I decided to come to Bristol Manor Farm for the progression in my career and the new challenge. The former manager I worked alongside last season recommended me for the job, and told me to go for it.”
What could you tell us about your career so far, and what are you most looking forward to next season?
“I’m currently working as Head of Sports Therapy for UWE Performance Sport, where I spend my time working with American Football, Basketball and Squash players.
“Last season I worked in the Western League with Bishop Sutton AFC, and that experience made me want to continue working in football again this season. I’d like to say a big thank you to the guys for helping me enjoy the sport again!
“I’m really looking forward to making the step up to the league this year and seeing what it has to offer. Hopefully I can help the players stay healthy and injury free for the majority of the season.”
What has the Manager said to you this summer and how much are you looking forward to meeting the staff and players?
“Lee has told me his goals for this year and where he sees the club going, which has made me want to be a part of this journey. I’ve also heard good things about Lee and that he will be a great manager to work alongside. I enjoy working alongside people that give me the freedom to do what I do best, which I know Lee will do.
“I’m excited to meet all the staff and players, but I’m also a little bit nervous! For those that know me, I start off quiet, but within a few weeks I will be out of my shell.
“I’m looking forward to getting started!”
Please join us in giving Emily a very warm welcome to Bristol Manor Farm, and we look forward to working with here for next season.
