ADAMS REVEALS ALL

On Thursday evening, the Portwaymen had let the cat out of the bag: Jamie Adams had agreed a deal to return to Bristol Manor Farm as the club’s first marquee signing ahead of the 2023/24 Southern League campaign. In our latest interview, we sat down with Adams who revealed all about the next chapter in his career.

“I thoroughly enjoyed my previous spell at Bristol Manor Farm,” Adams began.

“People who are familiar with the club will know all about our successes in the FA Cup, and some of my personal career highlights came during the 18/19, 19/20, and 20/21 seasons at The Creek.”

Following spells at Yate and Merthyr in the Southern Premier Division, the reintroduction of Adams can only be seen as a real coup for the football club, and the midfielder admits that he ‘jumped’ at the opportunity to play under Lee’s management once again.

“I was delighted when Lee and I spoke about the potential for me to re-join the Farm,” Adams expressed.

“I thoroughly enjoyed working with him in the past, and both our ambitions for next season and the future are totally aligned I’d say.

“Bristol Manor Farm has a great setup, with an amazing set of people behind the scenes and a passionate fan base that makes playing here such an enjoyable experience.

“I can’t wait for the start of next season!” Adams expressed.

Over the past couple of years, the club has enjoyed some fantastic moments both on and off the pitch, and Adams wants to help continue the club’s forward momentum next season.

“During my previous spell at Bristol Manor Farm, there was a lot of excitement around the place which created a great buzz for us as players,” said Adams.

“The club worked extremely hard to make the play-offs, and then of course retain its Southern League status, so I’m forward to being part of a team that plays exciting football and seeing what impact we can make next season.”

Welcome Back Jamie Adams

Bristol Manor Farm Football Club is extremely delighted to announce the return of former captain, Jamie Adams, to kickstart the Portwaymen’s preparations ahead of the 2023/24 Southern League season.

Adams certainly needs no introduction to the Farmy Army following his first spell at the club which started at the beginning of December 2017. Originally joining from Larkhall Athletic, the midfielder made an instant impact at The Creek with his combative performances which earned many plaudits from the club and its supporters.

After a memorable run in the FA Cup in the 2020/21 season, including defeating local neighbours Yate Town along the way, Adam’s certainly caught the Bluebell’s eyes and transferred to Lodge Road – making 45 appearances for Yate during the 2021/22 season where they narrowly avoiding a play-off spot come the end of the season.

Spells at Frome and Merthyr Town would follow Adam’s time in South Gloucestershire, and Manager Lee Lashenko wasted no time in securing his former player’s services once again.

“When Jamie departed the football club he was a quality footballer, and following spells at teams in higher divisions, I can’t wait to see what he’ll bring to our squad next season,” Lashenko expressed.

“I’m not sure someone like Jamie can get any better, but if he’s improved from the last time he played for us, then we’ve got a serious player on our hands.

“He’s a born leader, and with the progression that this club has shown with its younger players, Jamie can help them mature even further next season.”

I’m sure you will all join us in welcoming Jamie back to The Creek next season, and we wish him the best on his return to the club!
