A picture-perfect afternoon started after just five minutes and it came from the boot of the skipper. Jamie Adams has been deployed all over the pitch due to various injuries and suspensions this season, but back in his favoured midfield position, he showed his attacking quality. The captain drove forward, beat his man and slotted home for his first of the season. After a further five minutes, it was two. Daniel Dodimead bounded forward and switched to Jayden Nielsen, who continued his fine form by lashing into the roof of the net. Farm continued to control for much of the first half, Nielsen and Dodimead had further chances, but the lead stayed at two into the break.
Bemerton came out with a little more intensity, but Farm finished the contest either side of the hour mark. A long ball was sent in and despite Rhys Thomas’ very best efforts to scramble his first in Farm colours, the third goal may well go down as an own goal. No doubt about who got Farm’s fourth just a few minutes later, however. Defender Ollie Woodhouse scored in dramatic fashion to win the game with the final kick last week and he got another to add gloss to this one. An emphatic volley flew past Paddy Creese and the keeper was forced to retrieve the ball from his net once more.
Bristol Manor Farm hunt three straight wins as they host Bemerton Heath Harlequins on Saturday afternoon, and Jack Davies is back to preview the action.
